This stout has been in my fridge since the Guinness Party. I've been waiting for the right time to sit & enjoy.
Well, everyone was asleep so I poured one. Wow, is this good.
This stout is very rich with hints of coffee and chocolate. It's the type of beer where you can only have one or two, not only because it's so rich, but also because it clocks in at 9% abv.
It's called a Russian Imperial because brewers in the 1800's used to make it to win over the Russian Czar. This specific stout brewed by North Coast won the Gold Medal at the 2004, 2005, and 2006 World Beer Championships and is rated a perfect 100 on ratebeer.com.
Well, this one seems to have disappeared. I guess I'll have to run downstairs to grab another.
